We’re going to sea (sort of) for the November tasting! Fitting, then, that we’ll be gathering at WAVE for the event at 7:00 on Friday, 14th. Michael will have a bar open for pints (to help pay for the lights), so feel free to arrive a bit early take a walk around the place as it is well worth a look.
Our November tastings have focused on a variety of maturation and finishes before, but this time we’ll be focusing specifically on the wonderful world of fortified wine casks. Irish whiskey aged or finished in former Port, Maderia, Marsala, and various Sherry casks will be on hand for the night. And, let’s face it, it wouldn’t be a November tasting if we didn’t have some surprises in store for you as well.
As always, we are really looking forward to Trevis's event and this should shed light on one of the influences affecting taste in Irish whiskey.
