Considering that Canada is firmly on the whiskey world map right now, we wish to investigate the state of Canadian distilling and will host an extra-special Canadian whiskey tasting in the Shelbourne bar on McCurtain Street, a gold medal whiskey ve...nue winner at the recent Irish Whiskey awards.
With some difficulty, we've managed to acquire a bottle of Jim Murray's No. 1 rated whiskey in the world for 2016 (ref. 2016 Whiskey Bible): •Crown Royale "Northern Harvest Rye"
To further stimulate your senses we will sample a selection from the following Canadian whiskies: •Glen Breton "Ice Wine Barrel" •Crown Royale "Maple Finish" •Pike Creek "Double Barrel" (Port Cask) •Canadian Club Small Batch 12 Year Old •1970's era bottling of Canadian Club •Canadian Club 12 Year Old
We will also run our usual monthly raffle that will include a 22 year old Canadian whisky and a Canadian Club Small Batch 12 year old.
