Terms and Conditions of Irish Whiskey Society
1. Membership with Irish Whiskey Society
1.1 All membership orders are to be processed by contacting our membership officer at firstname.lastname@example.org
1.2 Email - Please email email@example.com with any queries and the Irish Whiskey Society will respond within 3 working days.
1.3 Membership to the Irish Whiskey Society is open to all over the age of 18. The annual subscription covers a 12-month period. Members of the drinks trade are welcome to join the Society and attend our tastings. We look forward to your contribution to our discussions.
2. Contacting Irish Whiskey Society
Irish Whiskey Society respects that everyone uses different platforms and works different hours. If you need to contact the Irish Whiskey Society, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that committee members work on a voluntary basis and will review all emails and respond to any queries within 3 days Monday to Friday. Any correspondence received through social media and other platforms will be acknowledged and responded to within 3 days. Irish Whiskey Society reserves the right to not reply to any emails or enquiries that they deem to spam, junk or of a false nature.
3. Storing Personal Data
Irish Whiskey Society respects confidentiality, transparency, and privacy. We will keep personal data in relation to clients in a variety of formats. Irish Whiskey Society will store personal data in a variety of methods. At all times security and confidentiality are essential to how we operate, and we will actively work within this environment. All personal data will be kept for two years upon placement of your membership and/or event attendance. All account transactions will be kept for seven years to satisfy all accounting legislation.
4. Lodging a Subject Access Request
All customers and employees have access to their records and can request copies of the same under a Data Subject Access Request. Please note that this request should be sent to email@example.com
As part of your membership with Irish Whiskey Society you are required to create a memberportal. Please note that whilst Irish Whiskey Society tries to keep your information as accurate as possible the onus falls on the member to advise of any inaccuracies or changes they would like us to make by contacting us on firstname.lastname@example.org
6. Attending events
Throughout the year Irish Whiskey Society held in-person and hybrid events. As a member you are required to register for these events and all details of these events will be stored for two calendar years upon completion of that event. Irish Whiskey Society may, from time to time, use external platforms as a ticketing agent- we will review each event after it has taken place and delete all unnecessary or duplicated data. This excludes all financial data that is required for our accounting regulations.
7. Social events and capturing images
Whilst attending an event with Irish Whiskey Society we may record or capture images of our attendees. If you do not wish for your image to be captured or shared in our social media posts, please contact a member of our committee to advise them of your request and we will delete or blur any images where you have been captured.
8. Intellectual Property
a) All text, graphics, user interfaces, visual interfaces, photographs, trademarks, logos, sounds, music, artwork, and computer code (collectively, “content”), including but not limited to the design, structure, selection, coordination, expression, “look and feel” and arrangement of such content, contained on the website is owned, controlled or licensed by or to Irish Whiskey Scociety.
b) Except as expressly provided in these Terms, no part of the Site and no content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted or distributed in any way (including “mirroring”) to any other computer, server, website or other medium for publication, distribution or for any commercial enterprise, without Irish Whiskey Society’s express prior written consent.
9. Legal Advice
Irish Whiskey Society reserves the right to consult with their legal advisors in all cases of Court orders for access to personal records and/or all other information requests.
